Job Summary
The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Engagement Lead for agile transformation to join us in Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart or remotely in Germany. In this role, you will manage services projects in Germany from initiation through to delivery and closure. You'll coordinate and conduct customer workshops, support staffing requirements, resources, and risk management. While effectively managing a project, you will also be responsible for helping install an organizational project management discipline and serve as an ambassador for the adoption of project management fundamentals, principles, and methodologies with Red Hat’s services.

What you will do
Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for Red Hat’s services projects with minimal direction
Discover and take on new approaches to technology delivery with Red Hat customers, utilizing agile and open ways of working
Handle project requirements, scope, and change management issues; ensure adherence to legally binding requirements
Staff projects with the relevant consultants and architects, taking into consideration the required skills and levels of experience in collaboration with the Technology Manager
Create high performing teams made up of Red Hat, customer, and partner colleagues, where teams continuously assess and improve their approach to technology change
Train, coach, or mentor individuals and groups, providing context specific advice to assess and grow agile and DevOps maturity
Facilitate workshops that help clarify engagement target outcomes, continually focus on the latest engagement-specific priorities and regularly demonstrate working product alongside the engagement team
As an Engagement Lead you will lead and facilitate our Open Innovation Labs residencies using agile and open practices
Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on activities related to the project, including subcontractor monitoring
Participate in status review meetings with project team members and customers
What you will bring
Highly motivated with solid experience in an agile project management role managing IT-based projects
Record of successfully managing complex projects and multicultural or multidisciplinary teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal, leadership
Ability to work effectively across a diverse management team and a broad spectrum of internal partners on your own
Good balance of business and technical experience
Ability to communicate the project management value proposition and contribute in consulting pre-sales engagements
Excellent communication skills in German, French would be good.
Willingness to travel regularly
Proven ability to use methods which support agile teams; qualifications in a methodology or methodologies which complement an agile delivery style
PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are a plus
Fluency in German and English is mandatory
Willingness to travel 40 -45% of the time with Germany and occasionally across EMEA
