DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

The person employed in this position will split their time equally between the Berlin and Munich offices.

He / she must speak English fluently.

Their main responsibilities will include local desktop and infrastructure support to managing centralized systems based in our German server rooms and offices.

The below tasks should be performed in an efficient and effective manner to guarantee the best access to implemented technologies and resources for our internal customers.

TASKS

  • Management of computer systems (IT) in Berlin and Munich.
  • Control and implementation of IT for the offices in Berlin and Munich :

Planning, organization, direct supervision and evaluation of work performed on servers working for the subtitle creation department, dubbing department, flow of audio and video materials.

Installation and administration of computer hardware, software and network resources.

Creating and implementing procedures for electronic data management, management and development of IT systems, consulted and approved by the IT Director / CIO.

Planning and consulting with managers of individual departments to understand the demand for new systems and in addition discussing specifications, costs and deadlines.

Assist in annual budgeting and coordinate for the Director of Regional IT, EU & IT Manager, Germany.

Assistance in the use of accounting programs, spreadsheets, word processors.

  • Providing access to technology using existing hardware and software :
  • Repair of hardware, software and network systems.

    Knowledge of hardware and software for creating / producing subtitling and dubbing.

    Organizing and carrying out an upgrade and periodic review of subtitling software with its suppliers.

    Knowledge of IT and network systems in all supported offices to the extent that allows effective support for users and problem solving in the local office.

    Familiarizing new employees with available technology.

    Training employees on the possibility of using local technology.

    Implementation and control of compliance with security procedures in Paris.

    Providing individual training and support.

    Keeping an up-to-date inventory of equipment, software and suppliers.

  • Monitoring and maintaining technology to guarantee maximum access.
  • Preventing any technology related failures.

    Keeping an inventory of necessary repairs and inspections.

    Recommending the purchase of new technologies.

    Searching for suppliers and services.

    Providing access to the network to all employees and freelancers.

    Supervision over the installation of workstations.

    Connecting and starting equipment.

    Supervision over software sharing and license allocation.

    Control of network accounts and passwords.

    Technology security monitoring.

    Informing employees about security failures and changes to access passwords and the current security status.

    Installation of "lock out" programs.

    Marking and preparation of equipment for disposal.

    Ensuring that safe equipment is sent for disposal (clearing all data).

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

  • Fluent in English.
  • Firewalls & Switches, NAS Storages, VMware, Software Deployment, MS365, Microsoft Windows, OSX, Linux.
  • Familiarity with ProTools and Adobe Premiere.
  • CCTV, access control systems, Asset inventories.
