Principal Field Application Engineer - SoC H/W
Position Summary
1. Provide technical supports throughout the product (SOC, PMIC, UWB) lifecycle from promotion phase to the end of production
2. Responsible for application engineering, testing, debugging, delivering, guiding, documenting on HW products
3. Consulting customer board design
4. Lead and guide engineers in the team
5. Manage and supervise HW labs
Role and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical supports throughout the product (SOC, PMIC, UWB) lifecycle from promotion phase to the end of production
2. Technical support can be remote support or onsite support at customers' locations
2. Responsible for application engineering, testing, debugging, delivering, guiding, documenting on HW products
a. analyze and debug board in bring-up phase via Oscilloscope
b. analyze signal(loss or Jitter) with Eye diagram for High speed Interface (PCIe, USB, UFS, etc)
4. Consulting customer board design by communicating with engineers working all over the world
5. Analyze and resolve issues including small PCB layout fix by communicating with engineers working all over the world
6. Visit customers' site and support board bring up and resolve issues
7. Technical documenting
8. Lead and guide engineers in the team
9. Manage and supervise HW labs
Skills and Qualifications
- May lead a small team of professionals with limited control over budget spending or HR management such as recruiting or dismissal and supervises mentoring and coaching for team members
- Typically implements short-term action plans rather than developing policy, process or strategy
- Enhances or Improves methods or procedures and provides coaching to team members to ensure successful outcome
- Has deep knowledge on one job area or broad knowledge on several job areas
- Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
