The Purpose :

You will be joining the Developer Enablement domain responsible for enabling all cross-functional development teams to have a robust, scalable, reliable, cost-effective and highly secure infrastructure for their respective applications.

As an Infrastructure Engineer II, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining the infrastructure framework, thus providing a paved path for all development teams.

PPRO is a cloud-native FinTech, operating payment services hosted in AWS with analytics in GCP.

What you will be doing :

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management processes using tools such as Terraform / Terragrunt or equivalent.
• Continuously optimise infrastructure for reliability, security, cost-efficiency and performance.
• Implement Kubernetes best practices for packaging and cluster management.
• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting framework to ensure proactive identification and resolution of issues.

• Focus on building a secure and auditable networking backbone for PPRO.

• Implement scalable infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of PPRO’s growing business.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations like PCI, DORA, etc.

Some of the technologies you’ll get to work with :

• Cloud Infrastructure - AWS, GCP
• IaC - Terragrunt working as an overlay for Terraform modularised code
• Kubernetes (EKS) management with package managers (Helm, kustomize) for deployments
• Managing canary deployments
• VCS - GitHub
• Application / Infrastructure Monitoring - Datadog
• Artifactory management

You will need to have :

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a focus on cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud).
• Strong background in infrastructure as code, automation, and orchestration tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux / Unix systems administration.
• Proven experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Understanding of networking and firewall concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Experience creating CI / CD pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Growth mindset with a passion for learning new technologies and improving existing systems.

Nice-to-haves :

• Understanding of secure CI / CD practices, such as secret management, dependency scanning, and integrating security tests into the pipeline.
• Advanced knowledge of GitHub Actions for CI / CD, including creating complex workflows, using reusable workflows, and integrating third-party actions.
• Experience with backup and restore processes for both infrastructure and data.
