Job Title : Head of Construction (Germany)

Location : Remote (with infrequent travel to the office in Germany)

Company Overview :

One of our key clients, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the renewable energy sector, focused on delivering large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects across Europe is looking for a Head of Construction to join them in 2025.

With an ambitious goal of 5GW of renewable energy capacity in Germany by 2030, our client is at the forefront of the energy transition and is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy projects across Germany and internationally.

Role Overview :

As Head of Construction, you will lead and oversee the construction activities for multiple utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects across Germany. This role offers the unique opportunity to directly impact the delivery of projects that will contribute significantly to Germany's renewable energy targets.

You will manage a growing team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Lead the overall construction strategy for Solar PV and BESS projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and meet client specifications.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the construction team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards across all construction activities.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government bodies.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the team as it expands, helping to attract, retain, and develop top talent in the construction sector.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the company, with a focus on scaling up operations and delivering projects across multiple countries in Europe.

    • About You :

  • Fluency in both English and German is a must.
  • Must be based in Germany.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a similar construction management role within the renewable energy sector, with specific experience in Solar PV or BESS projects.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on high-performance and safety.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience dealing with contractors, developers, and regulatory authorities.
