Your mission

  • Taking responsibility for structural biology research projects (negative stain and cryoEM) including project management
  • Grid preparation cryoEM data acquisition on a Glacios or Titan Krios data processing and interpretation model building and refinement
  • Planning development implementation and optimization of cryoEM experiments
  • Responsible for the planning and instruction for a group of technical assistants
  • Representation of scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleaguescustomers and business partners

Your profile

  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field and a Ph.D. in cryoEM of proteins with anexcellent track record
  • Several EM map / structure depositions and related publications
  • Work experience in the life science industry and project management is an asset
  • Good LINUX systems knowledge
  • Expertise in all aspects of EM grid preparation TEM operation data acquisition and image processing
  • Strong expertise in a variety of cryoEM and structural analysis software (i.e.Relion cisTEM cryoSPARC EMAN CCPEM Chimera and COOT)
  • Experience in highresolution structure determination by cryoEM including model building from scratch and structure refinement
  • Scripting experience is an asset (Shell Perl Python)
  • Independent serviceoriented way of working paired with great team spirit and organizational skills
