A well-known Japanese trading house is currently looking for an accountant to join their Dusseldorf office. The accountant will be responsible for the monthly management of accounts of selling, general and administrative expenses, managing of fixed asset ledgers for the company, and also managing the transition between HQ and 3 branches.

Accountant Main Responsibilities :
- Prepare, maintain, and audit the internal monthly management accounts of selling, general and administrative expenses (such as but not limited to personal expense, traveling fee, entertainment expenses etc.) on an in-house accounting system.
- Managing / recoding of fixed assets ledgers for the company
- Managing the transaction between HQ and 3 branches
- Input accounting data in the accounting system
- Check accounting entries with supporting documents
- Conduct and interpret variance analysis on a monthly basis and be able to discuss results with accounting manager
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing within prescribed deadlines
- Use an Excel to check monthly accounting data
- Filing of all related monthly accounting data and supporting documentation
- Assist staff within the company with the preparation of accounting data
- Assist with internal and external audit process
- Assist with monthly VAT declaration
- Preparation of balance confirmation
- Participate various meetings together with other members of European accounts team
- Demonstrate full professional skills and knowledge and will both a trusted advisor on a particular topic and be able to develop company procedures and methods
- Uses analytical skills to develop solutions to non-routine problems
