Cycling Presenter GCN auf Deutsch

We are looking for ex-professional road cyclists to join our team at GCN .

You’ll be based in Frankfurt, Germany, where the GCN auf Deutsch team is based. Travel within Germany and sometimes travelling in Europe in order to film on location is part of the role. In any given week you’ll be shooting at our studios, filming pro bikes at a race and writing scripts to help our viewers to improve their cycling.

Your primary responsibility will be researching, scripting and presenting films for GCN in German.

You will work within a friendly team of channel producers and creators to create engaging video content which attracts a wide audience and increases subscriptions and views. You will also be key in broadening the content that the channel covers.

What are we looking for?

• Presenting experience isn’t necessary and can be learned on the job, cycling knowledge and a passion for cycling are more important.
• You must have professional cycling experience (WorldTour, UCI Womens, ProContinental or Continental) – you might be an ex-professional cyclist, cycling journalist, or a current cycling professional looking for something outside the peloton.
• Knowledge of cycling, bike racing and bike tech. You’ll use everything you’ve learned about cycling, racing and bike tech on a daily basis.
• Native German speaker or the ability to speak and write German fluently and idiomatically.
• A good level of written and spoken English.

You'll be based from our studio in Frankfurt most of the time, but travel will be a part of the role.

Working in a team of 4 : Our team has 2 Presenters and 2 Creators to ensure that content is delivered and scheduled in line with business plans and strategy.
