About Backoffice Tribe

Our Backoffice product is a role-based fleet management system. It offers insights to our users on mobile app usage, tour performance, map-supported real-time delivery progress, detailed usage analytics, and many other relevant business KPIs.

It also supports Bettermile in maintaining important data, such as depot details and customer-specific configurations, essential for scaling up the business quickly and easily.

You will be taking care of

Adding new features and enhancements to microservices that are part of Bettermile's core data.

Making sure code is properly tested, and that our services are stable and our code maintainable

Engaging in DevOps tasks, adding new capabilities, and maintaining components for data collection and BI reporting.

Managing infrastructure components while embracing the 'you build it, you run it' philosophy.

Developing customer self-service integrations and creating user-facing reporting.

Collaborating closely with other backend engineers and supporting frontend engineers as needed.

Taking ownership of code and working autonomously on new features while also having the support of a friendly and diverse team when required.

Enjoying the freedom to suggest ideas and generate innovative solutions within the team.

You check these boxes

A Kotlin engineer with a solid understanding of API and database design and practical experience.

Experienced with the Spring framework.

Whatever cloud skills you bring to the table, we're interested! Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform is a must.

Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and find solutions to tackle tough problems every day.

Ability to articulate complex technical topics with ease.

Willingness to lend a hand to your fellow team members.

The ability to adapt and learn quickly is essential in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Fluent in the English language, written and spoken. German is not required.

It is awesome if you also have

Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambdas, RDS, and Cognito.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CDK (Pulumi is also a bonus).

Knowledge of databases and SQL.

Understanding of event-driven architecture principles.
