IT Operations Manager (all genders)

Are you passionate about IT infrastructure and security? Perfect, as a System Engineer (all genders) you will be responsible for managing, monitoring and developing our customers' service offerings. You will be the first point of contact for our customers when problems arise in the IT infrastructure and will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the cyber security environment.

What awaits you

  • You will take care of 1st and 2nd level support activities for Unix, Linux, Windows, Network, Firewall, DB, Applications, Middleware, Storage & Backup / Restore, Cloud, Container (Kubernetes, Docker etc.) and Virtualization Services (VMware, Hyper-V etc.).
  • Are you familiar with monitoring, incident and service request management (and operational change management)?
  • You are the first point of contact for symptom reports and incidents from your customers
  • Are quality and communication important to you? Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Team knowledge management and further development in the area of cyber security round off your tasks.
  • The activities will be carried out on site in Dresden / Essen (home office possible on individual days after successful familiarization).

What we expect from you

  • Personal background : You have a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification or initial professional experience as a system administrator or helpdesk employee.
  • Specialist knowledge : You impress with your good knowledge of Linux / Unix, Windows, Apple OS as well as knowledge of network, firewall and backup administration. In addition, your experience with VMware environments and initial points of contact with cyber security round off your profile.
  • Process diversity : You are familiar with ITIL processes and are not afraid of process discipline and a structured approach.
  • Mindset : You are characterized by a solution- and service-oriented way of working, reliability, responsible action and enjoy teamwork.
