YOU...
will work in the Propulsion Testing team, which is responsible for preparing and conducting tests on the propulsion system
will have end-to-end responsibility of a test campaign from its initial request until the delivery of the test data : test assessment, preparation, commissioning, execution and reporting, while thoroughly following our test processes
are responsible for the review of the test request and refinement together with the design team
focus on wind tunnel testing but not only, also support to other propulsion test campaigns as required
prepare the test concept
are responsible for the detailed design of the test and measurement setup and coordinate the technicians, suppliers, and other support teams
are providing the planning of the test execution, including test procedure and risk assessments
are responsible for the hands-on execution of the test, the post-processing of the data and results reporting
create and review engineering documentation for our test setups and results and are giving feedback, your findings and opinion to the design team for product improvement
support resource and workload planning and coordination with interfacing teams
are a role model for a safe work environment in the laboratory and constantly learn new things about our test articles and the way we test them – and share them with the rest of the team

YOU...
have an University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field (M.Sc / M.Eng preferred)
have good knowledge and experience in propulsion testing and preferred in windtunnel testing
have good knowledge and experience in measurement methods and instrumentation
have good knowledge of data analysis and post-processing
have ideally good knowledge and experience in processes, methods, and best practices of testing within the aerospace industry
have ideally good knowledge and experience in testing multi-kW electrical machines
have ideally good knowledge of a CAD system (Siemens NX preferred)
have the ability and willingness to travel to external facilities (in Germany, Switzerland & Netherlands) to support test execution (≈15% of the time)
have fluent English language skills and ideally fluent German language skills
