Senior Specialist, Site Procurement

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Site-related procurement of local plant supplies, CapEx, spare parts, services, as well as maintenance and repair activities
• Analysis and strong understanding of the local procurement market for goods and services regarding supplier base, technologies, competitive environment, market trends, and cost drivers
• Participation in regional and global sourcing projects
• Collaboration with local and global teams and suppliers to support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
• Optimization of total cost of ownership (TCO) for German sites, including the development and implementation of cost-saving programs with specific suppliers
• Supplier management, including the creation and maintenance of an effective supplier evaluation program
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of procurement plans and best practices
• Independent negotiation and preparation of individual and framework agreements as well as awarding contracts
• Identification and assessment of risks and benefits of procurement decisions, along with clear presentation of risk mitigation proposals
• Contribution to the annual budgeting process by providing reliable cost estimates and realistic forecasts

Education

• Successfully completed university degree or alternatively commercial training with several years of relevant experience in strategic procurement

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, ideally within an internationally operating manufacturing company

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong experience in supplier and contract management
• Proficient user of SAP (MM) and MS Office applications
• Excellent German (C1) and English language skills required
• Team player who enjoys working with both direct and indirect colleagues
• Experience in cross-functional projects
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills at all organizational levels #LI-JJ1

Travel Requirements

10%: Up to 26 business days per year

Physical Requirements

Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
