Senior Manager Governance, Risk & Compliance (m/f/d)

As Senior Manager Governance, Risk & Compliance you will be driving the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate risks, improve the Internal Control System, and the monitoring of compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and guide senior leadership on GRC matters.
In this important role, you will closely collaborate with all main business and finance leaders as well as our internal and external auditors and bring our processes and governance systems to the next level.
This role is unlimited and located in Munich .
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- further develop and enhance the group-wide Internal Control System with the target of covering all main financial and operational processes
- document processes, identify risks, and design adequate controls together with the business
- conduct the control testing, following the internal methodology
- support the regular Risk Management update process, improve tools, and raise awareness of key risks and mitigation measures in the organization
- enhance the existing Compliance Management System in collaboration with the Legal team (e.g., policy management, training, communication)
- prepare regular status reports on GRC initiatives to the management board and supervisory board
- implement and manage training, awareness, and communication around the GRC program
YOU COME WITH
- 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, Internal Controls, or Internal Audit, preferably in one of the leading Big4 companies
- a degree in economics, business administration, or similar; ideally with a major in Finance / Controlling and outstanding academic credentials
- excellent process understanding and a solid background in accounting (especially IFRS); IT affinity would be a plus
- experience in business transformation and ERP implementation is preferred
- experience with EasyGRC or other GRC tools is a plus
- structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- fluency in English; German would be an advantage
- willingness to travel
