Work of special value : Your commitment with us

  • As a Junior Cloud Engineer in an agile interdisciplinary team, you will be involved in the provision and operation of services in the Bundesbank's private and public cloud and can contribute to one of the following topics :
  • the event streaming platform (Kafka) as one of the central communication platforms for the cloud. You will be responsible for introducing the platform and integrating the system into the Bundesbank's IT landscape.
  • the API management platform (Apigee) as a central communication platform for the cloud. You will be responsible for the further development of the platform, further automation and further system integration into the Bundesbank's IT landscape.
  • the landing zone(s) in the public cloud (Azure), consisting of network components, storage and (managed) services, among other things. You will be responsible for the implementation and configuration of the landing zone(s).
  • the CI / CD pipeline consisting of GitLab, artifact management, quality assurance and security tools, among others. You provide solutions in the CI / CD pipeline environment for the entire bank.
  • While working in all subject areas, you will be part of an agile team with an interdisciplinary composition of internal and external experts and will also work together with experts from other units as part of the onboarding process.

Special values : Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in computer science or comparable degree program with a focus on information technology or comparable knowledge from many years of professional experience
  • As an event streaming engineer : knowledge of event streaming platforms, especially Kafka is an advantage
  • As API Management Platform Engineer : Knowledge of API management platforms, especially Apigee, an advantage
  • As a public cloud engineer : knowledge of and experience with a cloud service provider, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • As a CI / CD Engineer : Knowledge of artifact management (preferably JFrog), software quality analysis (preferably Sonarqube) and application security testing is an advantage
  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure and system deployment concepts (CI / CD pipeline), container platforms and different cloud models is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in the automation of tasks (e.g. with the help of Terraform or Ansible) is useful
  • Analytical and conceptual skills, high level of commitment, ability to work in a team and good work organization
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills

    Remuneration & prospects

    Remuneration based on the TVöD (depending on your experience, approx. €57,000 to €74,000), future-oriented job in the public sector with reliable working conditions, permanent employment contract, possibility to continue an existing civil servant relationship (up to A11), extensive further training opportunities
