The World Food Programme (WFP) is theworld’s largest humanitarian organization saving lives inemergencies and using food assistance to build a pathway to peace,stability and prosperity for people recovering from conflict,disasters and the impact of climatechange.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities :

  • Drivethe Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI / ML) StrategyDevelopment and Project PortfolioManagement :
  • Provide Technical Advisory &Thought Leadership Services :
  • Support theoverall Innovation Acceleratoroperations :

Deliverables atthe End of theContract :

  • Develop an AI / MLstrategy for the WFP InnovationAccelerator.
  • Generate a pipeline of externaland internal AI / ML projects.
  • Build partnershipswith external organizations.
  • Ensuredocumentation of all work and materialsdeveloped.

    • Qualifications& ExperienceRequired :

    Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, economics, marketing,analytics, or related quantitative discipline preferred. Master’sdegree is a plus.

    Experience : At least 5 years of progressively responsible internationalexperience in technology strategy and portfoliomanagement.

    Knowledge &Skills :

  • Technicalunderstanding of AI / ML applications andmethodologies.
  • Experience in innovation projectlife cycle.
  • Piloting and scaling of AI / MLsolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to translatecomplex issues for a non-technicalaudience.
  • Excellent communication / presentationskills.

    • Languages : Fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge ofanother official UN language isadvantageous.
