Sika, a global leader in specialty chemicals, isseeking a highly skilled Packaging Procurement Category Manager tojoin our team in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will beresponsible for developing and implementing strategic procurementinitiatives for the packaging category, ensuringcost-effectiveness, quality, andsustainability.

Responsibilities :

  • Developand execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for packagingmaterials, considering market trends, supplier capabilities, andcost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular supplierassessments to ensure compliance with quality standards, ethicalpractices, and sustainability goals.
  • Negotiatecontracts and agreements with packaging suppliers to achieveoptimal pricing, terms, andconditions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally withstakeholders to align procurement strategies with businessobjectives and ensure seamless integration of packagingsolutions.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends,global economic factors, and industry developments to anticipatepotential impacts on the packaging procurementlandscape.
  • Drive continuous improvementinitiatives within the packaging category, focusing on costreduction, innovation, sustainability, and operationalefficiency.
  • Establish key performanceindicators (KPIs) to measure and track the effectiveness ofpackaging procurement strategies.
  • Stay abreastof regulatory requirements related to packaging materials andensure compliance across the supplychain.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or arelated field. Advanced degrees and / or professional certificationsare a plus.
  • Business and Supply ChainManagement skills are a plus.
  • Proven experienceas a Procurement Category Manager with a focus on packagingmaterials, preferably in the chemical or manufacturingindustry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and theability to build and maintain effective relationships withsuppliers.
  • In-depth knowledge of packagingmaterials market dynamics and industrytrends.
  • Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills with the ability to make data-drivendecisions.
  • Strong project management skills andthe ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Exceptional communication andinterpersonal skills.
  • English business fluentspeaking and writing skills; additional languages would be aplus.
