Assessment Analyst

We specialize in conducting opinion research in complex environments including fragile states, conflict zones, post-conflict zones and developing nations. Our data collection and analytic services are used for both monitoring and evaluation as well as strategic planning.
ORB is seeking an Assessment Analyst to support USAFRICOM’s information operations initiatives. This position will be based on base in Stuttgart, Germany with frequent travel to London and African partner nations as required for project coordination and oversight . The ideal candidate will liaise between ORB International’s research teams – including the London-based Strategic Assessment Team and USAFRICOM stakeholders, ensuring proper implementation of established processes and broader dissemination of research products across command.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and synthesize research findings from ORB’s field assessments across the AFRICOM area of responsibilityBrief AFRICOM leadership and socializing research products, assessments, and strategic implicationsCoordinate with ORB’s London office on research design, methodology, and reportingReview and integrate intelligence reports, USAFRICOM plans and policy documents to provide a comprehensive analysisSupport the development of strategic communications strategies based on assessment findingsMaintain regular communication with various USAFRICOM directorates to ensure alignment of research objectives across the CommandTravel to London and African partner nations as required for project coordination and oversightWork with senior military and civilian leadershipOpportunity to impact strategic decision-making in the USAFRICOMEducation & Certification Requirements
Master's Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Social Science, or a related fieldBachelor’s Degrees with experience will be consideredMust hold or have the ability to obtain a TS / SCI security clearanceClearance sponsorship availableUS Citizenship RequiredQualifications
Proficiency in one or more African languages idealStrong analytical, critical thinking, and management process skillsAbility to synthesize complex information from multiple sourcesPrevious experience working with DOD, USAFRICOM, or other military organizations preferredCultural sensitivity and adaptabilityExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently while maintaining strong communication with remote teamsAn understanding of the Department of Defense and strategic communicationsKnowledge of research methodologies and assessment frameworks.
