Role & Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will :

  • Manage and Grow Client Relationships : Maintain and expand existing accounts, providing exceptional service and exploring growth opportunities.
  • Drive Client Acquisition : Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the client's portfolio and increase market share in key areas.
  • Lead Offer Preparation : Handle quotations, price calculations, and contract negotiations with clients, shipping companies, partners, and international agents.
  • Develop and Execute Business Strategy : Play a critical role in shaping and implementing strategic initiatives to drive business growth and strengthen the client's regional presence.
  • What the Client is Looking For :

  • Experience : Minimum of 4 years in business development, preferably within ocean freight. Experience in break-bulk or oversized cargo handling is beneficial.
  • Education : Background in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related commercial field.
  • Language Skills : Fluent in both German and English.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Personal Qualities : Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient with a passion for logistics and intercontinental trade.
  • Driver's License : Class B license required.
