It is fundamental in the achievement of the Lingoda product vision. We are seeking a talented and experienced AI Software Engineer (all genders) to join as a founding member of our AI team. You will support our ambition to create a continuous learning experience (inside and outside of the classroom) and the best learning experience in the world. Your mission with us: As an AI Software Engineer at Lingoda you will be working alongside Prompt Engineers rapidly developing AI proof of concepts and then scalable solutions - such as integrating LLM’s and AI services, building/connecting API’s and creating front end interactions.You will be responsible for developing AI solutions to support our teachers and students. You will prototype and develop full stack AI solutions that can be integrated into our Lingoda platform to inform and accelerate Lingoda’s Product Vision.You will be well connected with the rapidly growing and changing AI landscape, up to speed with the latest developments and research, ready to keep Linogda on the cutting edge of this space.

Your tasks:

• Work with AI prompt engineers and product designers to design AI proof of concepts and prototypes for the Lingoda Product
• Develop rapid full stack POC’s/Prototypes (including backend and frontend) to test ideas and concepts
• For successful POCs create scalable/maintainable versions of the solutions
• Where required create API’s that our main student and teacher platform can connect to
• Integrate with external LLM’s, Vector Databases, AI services from AWS. GPC, Open AI and more.
• Work with the DevOps team on Deployment, CI and security

You bring to Lingoda:

• Demonstrable expertise and experience in developing AI solutions utilising LLM-based product solutions using a variety of LLM models and approaches
• Experience using LLM API’s and integrating LLM’s solutions into applications
• Understanding of NLP concepts and techniques. Experience with NLP libraries and frameworks like spaCy, NLTK, or transformers
• Good experience with a variety of backend and frontend technologies. We use - Node or PHP/Symfony/Doctrine/MySQL backend, with React front end
• Good Python skills
• Good knowledge and practical experience with OOP and design patterns, as well as with modern architecture approaches
• Experience with TDD and BDD
• 4+ years of general web software development experience
• You are passionate about code quality: writing tests and documentation belongs to your natural workflow
• The ability to work together with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to achieve a common goal
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with many other functions and departments
• You are very strong in balancing business requirements and technical process to deliver results and achieve success
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Fluent English skills (C-level)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
