As a Senior Backend Engineer (d / f / m), you play an important role in a mission-based team within the Personio Engineering organization, solving the team's most complex projects. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you are coding hands-on and supporting your team members solving technical challenges. Additionally, you will take part in interviewing, finding the best future talent for Personio.

Role Responsibilities : What you'll do
Role Requirements : What you need to succeed
5+ years of software development experience using JVM based languages (preferably Java or Kotlin)
Strong skills in writing efficient, performant and extensible code using the right tools and patterns to implement the functionalities that add value to our customers
Track record of working in an agile setup using continuous deployment and delivery
Experience with event-driven architectures, domain-driven design, and eventual consistency
Knowledge about resilience patterns
Experience with containerization and container orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes preferred) in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
Strong written and spoken communication skills (in English)
