They are seeking a Global Finance Director to develop and implement robust financial systems and processes that will support the company's scaling and ongoing success. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future. The position is based in Munich, Germany. Partially remote work is an option. What the job involves
- Act as a strategic business partner to the CFO and collaborate closely with the senior management team to drive business growth and execute the company's strategy
- Lead and oversee Accounting and FP&A, as well as new Corporate Development and M&A team that is about to be established
- Develop and integrate advanced controlling and FP&A capabilities to strengthen financial operations
- Build a high-performing finance team by enhancing integration between accounting and FP&A functions
- Deliver comprehensive financial analysis of historical data to support decision-making and improve company performance
- Implement and optimise ERP and reporting systems, with a focus on automation and data accuracy
- Establish and uphold best practices in internal controls and procedures to ensure company-wide compliance and continuous improvement
- Drive the forecasting and budgeting processes, delivering precise and timely financial projections
- Support the business in achieving further growth by investing in the right initiatives aligned with KPIs for value creation
- Oversee daily financial management, corporate budgeting, and treasury operations
- Support the CFO in regional tax and financial planning activities
- Ensure compliance with local, federal, and state regulations while managing corporate governance responsibilities
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including shareholders, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and legal consultants, to fulfil organisational requirements
Who we are looking for
University degree in finance, economics, business studies, or a related disciplineSeveral years of professional experience in finance and accounting; CPA or CMA certification is a plusAbility to work closely with the CFO, Managing Director, and executive team, with experience leading finance teamsSolid experience in coordinating audit activities, managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and investment accounting, along with experience in implementing and optimising ERP systemsPrior experience in a Private Equity-backed company is beneficialA strategic mindset with a history of driving financial change and growthAdvanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with system automation and the development and implementation of planning toolsERP system experience is a plusHigh degree of analytical ability and a proactive, problem-solving approachEntrepreneurial, hands-on, and eager to contribute to a growing companyAbility to adapt quickly to changing processes and procedures in a fast-paced Private Equity environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering collaborationStrong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detailFluency in both German and EnglishYou will be redirected to the company’s website – you must complete the application on their platform to apply.
