Operations is the beating heart of Amazon. This key part ofour business makes sure we fulfil and dispatch orders efficientlyso that our customers get their items on time. As an Area Manager,you’ll make sure your site is running as smoothly as it should sothat we can meet customer demand. You will be leading a team thathelps keep our operations safe, efficient, and of a high qualityand taking on a number of projects across our network to driveproductivity. Key job responsibilities - Create, oversee, and drivea culture of safety and wellbeing - Analyse and implement changesto keep quality and productivity at a consistently high level -Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimise productivity andincrease quality of service for customers within your area ofresponsibility - Analyse shift performance against relevantbusiness objectives, and put in place actions to improve ouroperational excellence - Work collaboratively with management-levelcolleagues to standardise shift practices A day in the life You’llwork on a shift pattern at one of our sites, making sure it is asproductive as it can be. Your main focus will be to own and drive aculture of safety and uphold quality and shift performancestandards. You’ll also oversee process improvements within yourarea and drive implementation. A typical day is varied, includingeverything from routine team management and daily operationalresponsibilities to process improvement and wide-scale operationalcontingency tasks. You’ll also be a role model and mentor to newmanagers. About the team Amazon couldn’t deliver at pace withoutthe Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team.   • A university degree - Relevantexperience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders,including your peers and leadership - Experience in using data oranecdotal evidence to influence business decisions - Advancedproficiency in verbal and written English and German languageBEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN Preferred qualifications are notrequired to apply for a position at Amazon.
