Your team

The Pictet Group is one of the world’s leading independent wealth and asset managers. Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.

Start date : ASAP

Duration : 12 months

Employment rate : Full-time or Part-time (80% - 1 school day per week)

Prerequisite : a tripartite internship agreement signed with your school

Your role

  • Understanding how double taxation treaties work ;
  • Understanding the full tax reclaim process :

Analysis of the recoverable amount’s potential, derived from incomes ;

  • Understanding differences between legal structures of our clients (e.g., individuals, companies, trusts, etc.), from a tax point of view ;
  • Understanding the links between all counterparties (sub-custodians, tax administrations, internal counterparties) ;the possible by completing and gathering the relevant documentation in due time and follow-up the process until acceptation on sub-custodian or Tax administration side ;
  • Managing the tax recovery process :
  • Preparing tax reclaim requests ;

  • Reconciling and crediting the tax recoverable amounts refunded ;
  • Ensuring all datas is up to date in the tax tool, to avoid production errors ;
  • Working in close collaboration with the different teams of the Tax department ;
  • Your profile

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, management, or law fields ;
  • Meticulous, detail oriented and organized with highest quality deliveries ;
  • Dynamic, proactive in problem solving and entrepreneurship spirit ;
  • Able to meet deadline, prioritize and multitasks ;
  • Proficiency in MS Office standard products ;
  • Written and spoken fluency in French ; good level in English.
