The DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 1665 "Sexdiversity. Determinants, meanings and implications of sex diversity in sociocultural, medical and biological landscapes" is a transdisciplinary network of medicine, life sciences, humanities and social sciences.
Aim of the CRC is to investigate the diverse manifestations of physiological sex in different contexts - ranging from cellular and organ levels to organisms, social systems, and epistemic cultures.
Research assistant / PhD student (m / f / d)
Tasks :
- Carrying out cell culture experiments and sample preparation for subsequent measurements
- Metabolic investigations on various sample materials using NMR spectroscopy
- Statistical analysis of NMR spectra and interpretation of results
- Active participation in the scientific program of the SFB's own graduate college
Requirements :
- A very good degree in natural sciences (Master's or comparable) in the field of life sciences or a biomedical subject
- Interest in cooperating with scientists at the University of Lübeck and other universities, such as the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel
- Interest in collaborating with scientists from the humanities, social and cultural sciences
- Knowledge of cell culture and statistical / bioinformatics methods
- Ability to work in a team and an independent, structured way of working as well as the willingness to learn different methods NMR spectroscopy)
