Excellent opportunity for a candidate someone from a safety or chemical engineering background, who has already gained some prior knowledge or experience in the safety sphere and is now looking to advance into a management position.

This company has already established itself in the world for chemical manufacturing, serving the Pharma and food sectors, but are now searching for an experienced safety engineer to oversee, manage and coordinate all safety activities to make sure the site stays functioning.

In this role you will be working closely alongside the Global Safety Manager as you support all areas of the business in regards to environmental regulations and ensuring a safety-first culture, to maintain an optimal operational level of the site.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in safety, whether as a safety or chemical engineer, or as a safety manager. Importantly they will have a hands on mentality and can speak fluent German and English.

The Role :

• Managing and co-ordinating safety activities to make sure the site is operational
• Advice and assist the employer and management applying all legal safety regulations with the welfare of the employees
• Improve the environmental footprint of manufacturing
• Willing to travel - around 10% of the job requires travel
