The Faculty of Human Sciences, Structural Unit Cognitive Sciences, Department of Psychology , at the University of Potsdam invites applications for the following position to be filled as soon as possible :
Full Professorship (W 3) for Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
The successful candidate will represent the field of clinical child and adolescent psychology in both teaching and research.
Applicants are expected to contribute to the polyvalent bachelor’s degree program in Psychology and the German-language master’s degree program for licensure in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.
Applicants are expected to have a research focus on clinical child and adolescent psychology and psychotherapy, as well as an excellent track record of national and international, high-quality publications and research.
Moreover, candidates are expected to have experience in the acquisition of funding for and the implementation of external research projects.
The candidate’s research profile should conform to and integrate well with the research profile of the Department of Psychology and the university’s research focus on cognitive science.
Relevant clinical psychotherapeutic experience in treating patients is also expected. The prerequisite for appointment to this position is a license to practice ( Approbation ) and the specialist qualification ( Fachkundenachweis ) as a child and adolescent psychotherapist (ideally with a focus on behavioral therapy).
Furthermore, the position involves the establishment and management of a university outpatient clinic for children and adolescents.
A willingness to participate in the further development of Psychology degree programs and to support academic selfgovernment in various roles is required.
