We are currently supporting a Global Leading Tier 1 Automotive Supplier seeking an experienced and strategic Global Tax Director to join a dynamic and fast-growing automotive organization.

This role is pivotal in shaping the global tax strategy, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and optimizing tax structures across multiple jurisdictions. As a key member of the leadership team, the Global Tax Director will collaborate with senior executives to align tax planning with business objectives, driving efficiency, risk management, and overall financial performance.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's mission and vision
  • Set overall direction and make high-level strategic decisions
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to maintain market leadership

Responsibilities

  • Global Tax and Transfer Pricing strategy for the Automotive division
  • Work with tax team to transfer existing responsibilities and processes
  • Manage internal stakeholders and external partners to establish new ways of working for the Automotive division in tax
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters within the automotive sector, whilst also acting as the liaison for external partners, auditors, and tax authorities.

    • Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of German tax laws and compliance and qualified tax consultant
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Worked for international companies with cross-country collaboration
  • Experience working for an American owned business is ideal
  • Experience in transfer pricing
  • German and English fluent
