Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager

Due to the growth of the business, they have had a brand new opportunity that has come up for their team in Germany. The position is a Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player with strong knowledge of machinery, chemical and manufacturing purchasing. The company thrives due to its strong cultural foundation.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic sourcing processes incl. RFx.
• Active supplier management, especially in establishing and developing supplier relationships
• Obtaining and evaluating offers, as well as negotiating purchasing and procurement conditions and contracts with suppliers in consultation with strategic purchasing and production planning
• Optimization of coordination with the production plants as part of the regular S&OP and foster collaboration with R&D and Production
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans e.g. dual sourcing
• Management and maintenance of purchasing / procurement data and
• documents.
