Legal Counsel
Position Overview :
This is a vacancy for a hybrid / on-site role at our HQ in Tutzing. We encourage applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of gender identity.
As we expand, we are seeking a competent Legal Counsel (m / f / x) with a Commercial focus to join our growing Finance department.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in navigating complex legal landscapes, supporting our business operations primarily in the DACH region, and mitigating risks while enabling business growth.

You’ll get to take ownership of :
- Reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements and documents like SaaS terms, DPA, NDA, MSA, Partner agreements, RFPs, and service contracts, ensuring they align with company policies and legal requirements
- Supporting business teams on commercial law matters and risks, including sales, distribution, deal structures, marketing, and competition law
- Offering expert advice on IT & Data Protection Law and IT-related legal matters, including software licensing, data protection, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and technology transactions
- Managing legal aspects of disputes or conflicts that may arise, seeking resolutions through negotiation or other appropriate means
- Contributing to various projects and initiatives, including training programs, maintaining guidance documents, CLM tool management, and staying updated on industry legislation and regulations
- Cooperating closely with the management team in all other legal aspects and acting as central coordinator for external lawyers and other legal advisors
We’d love to meet someone with :
- Full qualification of a German lawyer (either a BA and MA in law or a pass in both state-certified exams)
- 4+ years post qualification legal experience (preferably in a technology company) with experience supporting a high volume sales organisation with commercial contracting matters
- Strong negotiating skills with a proven track record in supporting a sales organisation and in negotiating a wide array of commercial agreements, including DPA, SaaS subscription, and licensing agreements
- Effective written and oral communication skills to clearly present information, and respond to questions from customers and internal stakeholders, with a focus on pragmatic solutions
- Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
