We are seeking a talented and passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our team in the online slot gaming industry. As a Backend Software Engineer you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting innovative ingame features tools and processes. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise in game development working with an internationally recognised leader in gaming entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new ingame features tools and processes to enhance the player experience
  • Provide support and maintenance for existing ingame features tools and processes
  • Write highquality code and documentation to ensure efficient and scalable backend systems
  • Conduct problem analysis and propose effective solutions to address technical challenges
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners Mathematicians and FrontEnd Developers to deliver seamless gaming experiences
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality through rigorous testing and optimisation
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends and conduct research to drive innovation in the online casino industry

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional development experience
  • Strong proficiency in either Ruby or other languages such as Python
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Fluent user of Git for version control
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
  • Strong problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Comfortable working in a remote team environment
  • Ability to design and write unit and integration for developed game features
  • Debugging and resolving code issues

    • Nice to have

  • Experience with containerisation using Docker
  • Familiarity with CI / CD processes particularly GitLab CI
  • Passion for game creation and development
  • At least 1 year of experience in developing slot games
  • Proficiency with JIRA Google App Scripts and Cloud Services
