Job Description
We are on the lookout for a Staff Product Designer (all genders) to join our Service Product line design team. You will be part of the Self Service Tribe.
This team is responsible for building the Help Center and Customer x Rider chat experiences. The aim is to help customers solve their problems quickly and easily.
In your role as Staff Product Designer you will be required to shape the experience for our customer facing products, create design roadmaps, run the full product design cycle, collaborate with our local and global stakeholders and co-ordinate the designers on the product as needed.
Create scalable solutions for B2B2C products that are simple, effective and delightful.
Execute across all phases of design work : Lead product discoveries, define conceptual foundations for design solutions, execute excellent UX flows, apply and invent visual design systems, prototype using a variety of tools and methods, conduct usability tests and create production ready designs.
Lead and actively participate in foundational user research and analysis, including translation into product implications and new ideas and incorporate data analysis into your concepts.
Collaborate closely with our international entity teams as well as our Central Tech & Product organization to build products that our restaurant partners and internal customers love.
Facilitate workshops and run presentations in the scope of the product / project to facilitate discussions.
Manage different stakeholder needs and articulate design decisions, grounded in customer centricity, business and technical parameters and solid design theories.
Inspire, push creativity, challenge established thinking, and identify industry best practices for user experience within your team.
Continuously keep your stakeholders aligned and updated on progress. Plan design efforts with your Product Managers and designers in your team.
Contribute to our growing Design system.
Ensure that the quality of implementation meets design requirements.
Mentor and Inspire : Support and mentor junior designers, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Create feasible design roadmaps in collaboration with other designers and PMs.
Understand, influence and evangelize Self Service product strategy to improve UX maturity of our products
You will need to develop a deep understanding of the Self Service Tribe Product Strategy and how it serves our mission of improving the UX of our products.
You will need to partner with Design Managers to ensure product strategy is clear and drives improved user experience.
As well as be a champion on driving this strategy by helping to explain to other designers and to align our efforts towards this shared vision.
Identifies and drives initiatives that drive UX practice maturity and increases your influence and visibility within your Tribe.
Proactively finding opportunities and driving initiatives end to end that will support improving the design practice and UX maturity of our products both on a Tribe and Practice Level.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience working with UX, UI, and User Research as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar UX / UI focused role where you worked in direct collaboration with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders for implementation of designs
Experience of leading and mentoring other designers
Demonstrate clear excellence in at least two areas : UX, Visual Design or Research
Experience working on products / services across multiple platform and region
Operational experience in prioritization and time-management
User-centric focus with a strong understanding of designing platforms for B2B experiences
Ability to lead discussions, promote design solutions and adapt design practices convincing through narrative and rigor
Data-driven expertise
Experience working with Figma
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
