Job Title : Global Head of Platform Product PortfolioWe seek an experienced Agile Leader to oversee our dynamic team of Product Owners managing our Platform product portfolio.
Our ideal candidate will foster a collaborative, transparent, and empowering environment aligned with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles.
About the Product Pillar at the Merck Data & AI Organization : The Product Pillar is integral to our Group Data & AI Strategy, driving impact across our internal Data & AI ecosystem UPTIMIZE.
This pillar is dedicated to the development and management of a robust product portfolio that enhances decision-making, operational efficiency, and fosters innovation throughout the company.
Platform products are generally implemented through a federated approach to promote agility and responsiveness to specific business sector needs.
Lead the strategic vision and implementation for our Platform product portfolio, including the Merck Data Autobahn, Business Data, Analytics & AI (Palantir Foundry), SAP Data Warehousing and Cloud Data WarehousingProvide leadership and support to a team of Product Owners promoting an agile mindset and continuous improvement cultureFacilitate collaboration and drive the adoption of SAFe practices among teams to ensure effective scaling of agile processes.
Empower Product Owners to manage their own workflows and decision-making processes while ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a liaison between product teams and senior management.Monitor product outcomes and cost, report on progress, and provide strategic feedback to effectively manage product backlogs, prioritization, and cross-team coordination.
Develop and maintain an overarching dynamic product roadmap for Analytics and AI products setting clear objectives to ensure optimal performance and resource allocation Oversee the product lifecycle from conception to deliveryManage and nurture vendor partnerships to ensure seamless integration of services Who You Are : An agile leader with substantial product, portfolio and agile working experience.
Experience in leading self-managed teams and driving successful product development initiatives.Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing product roadmaps and capable of setting objectives that meet different needs in our sectors.
Experienced in leading complex, multi-vendor ecosystems, with a background in data & analytics and AI technologies.Adept in stakeholder management, with a talent for aligning diverse interests and driving strategic direction.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with diverse teams and facilitating effective collaboration.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Holder of a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist or similar advanced Agile certifications is beneficial.Proficient in agile development methodologies, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative skills to drive innovation within the product spaceExperienced in product backlog management, with a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the ability to define and prioritize product requirements Reporting Structure and Team Interaction : You will report directly to the Global Head of Data & AI Products, that has a direct line to the Chief Data & AI Officer.
You will be leading a team of product owners and support them and their virtual teams.Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and business units, to deliver a user-centric ecosystem
