We are looking for a Solution Architect, to join our team!

In this position you will fully support the overall business growth objectives by using their skills and experience to support the sales and team to define and implement solutions for our clients.

As member of the team you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle : Opportunity Identification / Sales Support, Solution Development, Project Execution and Post-Implementation Analysis.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

  • Work with a Business Consultant to identify and develop solutions which address customer pains, using specific Emerson technologies and where appropriate, those of third parties.
  • Be the technical reference for a pursuit, providing : technical support to the sales team throughout the sales process, technical input into proposal generation and resource estimation and assessments of commercial and technical risk associated with potential work.
  • Present technology or solutions during customer / sales events or seminars.
  • Support and complete projects that involve technologies and appropriate lead or coordinate activities within your field of expertise. Take responsibility for the solution delivered.
  • Be the adviser for project execution, including advising on :
  • The best technology solution to be used within the Emerson portfolio for the project. Justify your recommendations to others such as the customer, PM and technical lead.
  • Use of third-party solutions.
  • Organize internal knowledge transfer - undertake regular knowledge updates, using workshops where appropriate, to the European Engineering team with respect to their specialist fields.
  • Participate in and lead client support activities such as : Surveillance visits; fixing / support call resolution; system modifications and training.
  • Assist in achieving long term sustainability and effective process by helping to define and implement best practice in throughout project pursuit and implementation.
  • Identify possible improvements to the sales and project execution processes.
  • When encountered, highlight potential improvements in the Emerson products used.
  • Assist in defining and creating standard solutions to maximize effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key third parties, such as vendors of complementary technologies, standards organization or technology communities.
  • Provide analysis of the market for our solutions with a view to growing the business.

For This Role, You Will Need :

  • Minimum 5, preferably 10 years of experience in our industry (Automation, DCS, and field implementation) and expertise in Sales.
  • Detailed technical knowledge in one or more specific technology areas.
  • Extensive experience with direct client contact and managing expectations.
  • Sufficient process understanding to be able to work comfortably on new engagements on processes where there is no prior knowledge and be recognized as an expert.
  • Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written); excellent communicator.
  • Willingness to travel as required above.
  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart :
