Propulsion System Engineer (m / f / d)
For our headquarter in Augsburg we are looking for an experienced Propulsion System Engineer (m / f / d) to support our team and to contribute to the company's success in the future.
Your tasks
Related to ship propulsion and power systems :
conceptual and preliminary design, evaluation of performance parameters (eventually using modelling and simulation), undertaking trade-off studies
- consultancy to customers and internal teams regarding propulsion system configuration options and support of requirements analysis loops
- specification of propulsion and power system functions / requirements
- negotiation with costumers regarding the scope of work / supply and interfaces
- communication with suppliers of major propulsion system components / sub-systems
- technical program execution incl. the role of technical program manager for orders for system integration and / or system supply
Your profile
Degree in Marine Engineering or cognate disciplines, e.g. shipbuilding or mechanical engineering with experience in the marine industryKnowledge and practical experience in concept and detail design of ship's propulsion and power systemsKnowledge and practical experience in the field of propulsion control systemsExperience in modelling and simulation; basic knowledge in SysML and UMLKnowledge of Model Based System Engineering MethodsGood communication skills and ability to work in a teamAssertivenessA good command of written and spoken German is considered of advantage, otherwise willingness to learn GermanOur offer
