SumUp has a SuperApp that hosts all of the different products we offer to our merchants - from business accounts to invoicing to managing payments. You’ll be an integral member of our development team, and have the opportunity to contribute to creating groundbreaking mobile applications that set new standards in user experience and functionality.
We take our engineering excellence seriously at SumUp and you have various exciting opportunities to work with a team of highly skilled engineers on products such as SumUp Pos, SumUp Business Accounts, Online Payments and many more.
About the team
You'll be able to connect with mobile engineers from all over the company as our initiatives are far-reaching. You’ll experience a wide range of different verticals : maintaining CI / CD for Mobile projects, creating tooling for developers, and providing infrastructure & architecture supporting our modularised codebase.

What you’ll do
In the first few weeks, you'll dive into the code and infrastructure, and get to know our development workflow
You'll develop major features that impact our developer community
You'll work closely with the rest of the team to drive our roadmap and design our developer experience
You'll help us rethink problems we've solved before differently as requirements evolve
You'll build a wealth of knowledge about our complex problem domain, as well as its implications on the long-term health of our project – and how to manage it cleanly
You'll be great for this position if
You have experience with Kotlin and the Android framework
You know what to test, why to test it, and how to write flexible tests that won't break
You care about user interaction and usability, and have attention to detail
You love coding and take the time to reflect on all aspects of your implementation, be it the frameworks, languages, or processes
You strive for clean code but also know how to be pragmatic when needed
