Our Business Unit is active within the industries related to primary extraction and transformation of raw materials. Our areas of focus include metallurgy, recycling, mining, glass, paper and by extension innovative technologies involving hydrogen, hydrometallurgy, and others.
Our primary & metals department has contributed to more than industrial projects from different range of CAPEX investment from k€ till +M€ and is now one of the largest providers of engineering and construction services to the metals industry.
Our multidisciplinary business unit has committed to contributing on projects for environmental transition of the industry as the needs for clean materials will drastically increase in the coming decades. Among our many specializations, we perform logistical studies and Master Plans for the coming - years. Our added value lies in finding cost-effective but % reliable and safe solutions for the manufacturing process, utilities, and infrastructure.
Position Summary
As Project Engineer of IPS, you will have the responsibility for the planning and management in a wide range of packages and/or complete projects, ranging from small improvements to large projects. The management of your project can include multiple phases and/or specialization:
· Project feasibility: process description, plant layout, overall Time Schedule, procurement Strategy, financial plan
· Project preparation phase: investment analysis, basic engineering, permitting, financing and procurement.
· Project realization phase: project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, operational management.
Your role will be to team-up with the Project Team, applying the IPS project management methodology and using the best available Project Management tools in order to support our customers reaching their goals.
The project engineer defines technical solutions and organizes technical alignment on a variety of equipment, facilities, utilities, components, products, and systems for a diverse client base of manufacturers. He/she maintains and oversees part of / the complete project process; prepares status reports and delivers the documentation on schedule. This role will be based in Singen, Düsseldorf, Bremen or Hamburg.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Master of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· Fluency in English and German.
· Ability to speak any additional European language is an asset
· Willingness to travel
· Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills.
· Ability to work with diverse, multi-disciplined and multi-cultural groups
· Ability to effectively communicate with management and project team members
· Ability to interact with other project team members to achieve project goals
