We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Specialist to lead the implementation and oversight of an enterprise risk management framework within a regulated financial services environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will contribute to building a strong risk culture and enhancing operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the organization’s risk management framework in line with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational, regulatory, and financial risks across business activities
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and maintain up-to-date risk registers to reflect emerging risks
- Provide risk analysis and recommendations to senior management committees and support the launch of new products and initiatives
- Prepare and deliver clear, timely risk reports covering both financial and non-financial risks
- Develop and monitor key risk indicators to enable proactive risk management
- Coordinate business continuity and impact analysis activities to strengthen operational resilience
- Oversee risks related to outsourcing arrangements and third-party service providers
- Promote risk awareness and deliver training to support a strong and consistent risk culture
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or a related disciplineExtensive experience in risk management within financial services or a regulated environmentStrong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and product risk assessment methodologiesExcellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsProven ability to operate effectively in a highly controlled, compliance-focused environmentNice to haves
Experience with emerging financial products or digital assets is an advantageFamiliarity with regulatory requirements in a European or international context is desirableProfessional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, or similar) are beneficialWe're looking for someone who can start within a maximum of 1 month, also someone who is eligible to start work in Luxembourg
