Responsibilities & Tasks :
- Setting up, implement and maintenance of HSSE programs, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure that programs and procedures meet E.ON requirements, legal regulations, and international best practices.
- HSSE Inspections and Audits : Partner with E.ON business teams to develop and share best practices for safety audits, root cause analyses, security assessments, and environmental reviews
- Develop and improve systems for investigating health, safety, security and environmental incidents and execute it.
- Regulatory Compliance : Provide expert guidance on compliance with all relevant German and EU regulations related to health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
- Security Management : Assist in developing and implementing security measures to protect company assets, information, and personnel.
- Environmental Stewardship : Promote and support sustainable practices to minimize the company's environmental footprint and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Provide regular update to E.ON Hydrogen Leadership team and to E.ON central H&S teams (Preparation of project-specific HSE statistics and monthly reports, partly using E.ON’s reporting tool).
- Provide ad-hoc communication to employees on HSSE topics.
- Preparation of health and safety risk assessment, determination of safety measures, both in close cooperation with managers.
- Managing annual training of all EEP employees and the proper overview of PPE selection and deployment.
- Projects Implementation : Ensuring that relevant legal obligations for projects are known in good time and can be taken into account;
exploring, selecting, commissioning and collaborating with relevant law firms, engineering firms, etc
- Project Operation : Updating and preparing risk assessments and operating instructions, developing protective measures and monitoring effectiveness.
- Project Operation : supporting in selecting the proper counterparties. Creation, adaptation, and development of standard processes, including the work permit and approval process.
Carrying out inspections.
Qualifications :
- Hands-on HSSE experience within industrial plants (Chemical, Industrial Gases, Energy production or similar) Development, Implementation and Operation.
- Experience also with office-related HSSE.
- Proven track record as an HSSE Lead, capable of leading, setting up and implementing comprehensive HSSE procedures
- Completed vocational training with a specialization in health, safety, and environment, or a Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Security Management, or comparable experience are advantages
- Experience SEVESO Directive
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (SiFa), or similar HSSE certifications are advantageous.
- Proven experience in HSSE coordination or a related role, with knowledge of German HSSE regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of environmental management systems (ISO 14001) and occupational health and safety standards (ISO 45001).
NEBOSH or OSHAS experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent German and English language.
