Scalable Capital was built in the cloud from day one. Our services leverage a variety of serverless technologies, including Fargate and Lambda. We additionally use a multi account strategy for logical separation of workloads.
The Network Engineering team is part of the Core Tribe, which manages the cloud platform that underpins Scalable's entire infrastructure. The team delivers all core network services at scale, leveraging the latest cloud-native technologies and maintaining highly available connections to external partners. In addition, the Network Engineering team designs and maintains reusable infrastructure components and provides support to development teams. Together, these efforts provide a strong foundation for building innovative financial services.
As part of the Network Engineering team:
You will be responsible for improving Scalable's cloud infrastructure and automation using tools such as AWS, Terraform, and, when needed, general-purpose languages like Python or Go
You will design, maintain, and operate multiple cloud networks on AWS, providing a secure and highly available infrastructure for our internal development teams
You will maintain financial middleware systems, ensuring high-availability connectivity for our most critical applications and partner integrations
You will support, guide and empower our engineering teams to further strengthen our DevOps culture
Must have multiple years of hands-on experience with core AWS services, including: EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, Private Link, Route 53, CloudFront and ELB
Proficient and experienced with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language like Python or Go
Preferably experience with Network Firewall, WAF, Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN, Direct Connect, ECS / Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, and S3
A passion for automating and improving processes while keeping security and reliability in mind
Nice to Have: Experience in managing VPNs and/or Leased Lines, plus low level network debugging (tcpdump), and Cisco IOS XE (IPsec and GRE)
A degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences) or work experience in a role that typically requires a university degree
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely in an international English-speaking environment
