The Trade Compliance Specialist position is essential for efficient cross-border movements identifying and handling risks.

What will you do

• Ensure that all import and export activities align with applicable laws and regulations minimizing the risk of fines and penalties.
• Classify products accurately according to commodity codes and Dual-Use regulations.
• Facilitate import transactions including coordinating imports from outside the EU / UK and providing classification details and instructions to freight forwarders.
• Collaborate with internal departments and functions to ensure trade compliance procedures are consistently followed.
• Liaise and consult with internal and external customers to provide guidance and support on trade compliance matters.
• Support the companys compliance program by participating in internal and external audits.
• Lead communications and activities related to German customs audits including collaborating closely with customs authorities.
• Promote trade compliance awareness across the business through training and guidance initiatives.
