The customer is a large sized European institution based in Munich. Position is on-site in Munich-Germany .
The IT Support Engineer :
- handles end-user computer requirements and network requirements
- performs hardware installation and troubleshooting
- installs and troubleshoots hardware such as desktops, laptops, scanners, projectors, printers, video conference equipment
- Installs application software such as Microsoft Office and other related office productivity tools, antivirus, communication-related application software e.g. Teams, Zoom, etc.
- resolves network and internet-related connectivity issues
- installs and maintains network nodes such as Wi-Fi access points, network routers, etc.
- installs and maintains printers and printing services
- assists in the setup and monitoring of video live streaming services, as well as the setup and support of streaming broadcasts
- assists in the setup and monitoring of video conferencing sessions
- documents technical support requests, and actions taken by creating and updating tickets, and acts on the resolution of issues through the internal ticketing system
Qualifikation
Excellent communication skills. IT-Support will be performed on-site.Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar roleExperience with e.g. Windows 10 / 11, Office 365, Edge, Chrome, Skype, Adobe and Windows common ApplicationsGood understanding of computer systems (hard- & software), printers and VICO systemsAbility to diagnose, troubleshoot support and repair of desktop hardwareAsk customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problemIncident and Change management within a special period of time (SLA)Run a diagnosis of the problem on the spot using an diagnostic toolInstall Desktop / laptop and printer devicesReplace defective parts and equipment if necessaryAssemble and install Video Conferencing systems (VICO)Participate in planned changes, updates and moves by arranging equipment and transferring dataProvide prompt and communicate accurate feedback to clientEnsure all issues are properly logged and up to date in ticketing systemPrioritize and manage several open issues at one timeFollow up with clients to ensure their IT systems are fully functional after troubleshootingMaintaining a very good relationships with the customerGood mastering of the English language, both written and verbalBenefits
