Senior Sales Manager (m/f/d) – Contract Logistics EMEA

Job Description

Do you have a strong sense for business opportunities, deep knowledge of the logistics market, and the ability to win customers with compelling solutions? In this role, you will actively shape the strategic, consultative, and operational growth of our contract logistics business across the EMEA region.

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will identify new business opportunities, sell tailored logistics solutions, and guide customers from the first contact through to contract conclusion. You combine market insight, sales excellence, and a passion for building long-term customer relationships.

Your Responsibilities

Customer Development & Acquisition

• You manage the full sales cycle, from initial customer approach to long-term customer development.
• You further develop and strengthen long-term relationships with existing customers.

Proposal & Contract Management

• You take ownership of bid management, leading the development and preparation of customized, competitive proposals aligned with customer requirements.
• You successfully conduct pricing and contract negotiations, acting as a mediator between customer expectations and internal commercial and operational targets.

Implementation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• You act as the interface between customers, operations, and internal specialist departments.
• You accompany projects from initial concept through implementation.
• After contract award, you ensure a smooth and structured handover to Operations.

Performance Management & Market Intelligence

• You analyze sales figures, monitor market and industry trends, and provide impulses for continuous business development.
• You work in a target-driven manner, keeping a strong focus on revenue growth and market share.

Qualifications

You are a great fit if you…

• Hold a degree in business administration or a comparable commercial qualification, with a clear focus on sales and logistics.
• Have at least six years of professional experience in sales, ideally within contract logistics or supply chain management.
• Maintain an established professional network in one or more of the following industries:
  Industrial (agricultural machinery, construction equipment, heavy industry manufacturers), Rail, Plant and Mechanical Engineering.
• Not only understand logistics processes but actively develop them together with customers from analysis through to contract closure.
• Are confident in working with CRM systems and know how to calculate, structure, and present complex proposals convincingly.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, fluency in German is required; strong business-level English is essential. Additional languages are a plus.
• Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, taking ownership, and proactively managing your projects.
• Work in a structured, reliable, and customer-oriented manner, with strong market awareness and relationship building skills.
