ABOUT THE TEAM PORTFOLIO STRATEGY & BI

Portfolio Strategy & BI is the decision-making accelerator for our product portfolio: we create transparency, establish clear priorities and deliver fact-based insights – enabling CHEPLAPHARM to deploy resources in a targeted manner, make decisions faster and create sustainable value.

We work throughout the entire product life cycle – from ‘What should we invest in?’ to ‘How do we optimise value and risk?’ to ‘When and how do we exit?’. To do this, we combine strategic thinking with data & analytics and build scalable tools (e.g. SharePoint, Power BI, automation).

Our work comprises two pillars: (1) portfolio strategy (e.g. lifecycle management, value optimisation, pricing/COGS initiatives, exits, portfolio governance) and (2) competitive and business intelligence (market and competition analyses, risk tracking, dashboards/reporting).

What makes your day with us special:

Portfolio Strategy & Business Growth
You identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, including geographic expansion, product launches, and line extensions. In close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, you develop portfolio growth strategies and build robust business cases that support strategic decision-making.

Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
You drive value creation across the entire product lifecycle by identifying and implementing initiatives that enhance portfolio performance. This includes portfolio optimization, rationalization, lifecycle extension strategies, and evaluating potential divestment opportunities.

Commercial Due Diligence & M&A
You lead commercial due diligence activities for acquisition projects, assessing market attractiveness, competitive dynamics, and commercial potential. In addition, you support the successful integration of acquired products by identifying operational and commercial synergies.

Cross-Functional Project Leadership
You lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving Commercial, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, the Integration Management Office, and other key stakeholders. By establishing effective governance structures, you ensure transparency and successful project execution.

Performance Management & Strategic Insights
You develop reporting frameworks and performance tracking mechanisms for strategic initiatives. Based on data analysis and market insights, you derive actionable recommendations that support sustainable portfolio growth and continuous value creation.

What sets you apart:

Educational Background
You hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Life Sciences, or a comparable discipline.

Professional Experience
You bring at least 8–10 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, portfolio management, or a similar value-driven role.

Strategic & Analytical Expertise
You have proven experience in commercial due diligence, business case development, and leading initiatives focused on revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimization. You combine strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and sound business judgment.

Project & Stakeholder Management
You have successfully led cross-functional projects in complex organizations and are experienced in collaborating with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.

Mindset & Working Style
You combine an entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach. You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner, take ownership of your topics, and are able to translate strategy into measurable business results.

Language & Technical Skills
You are fluent in English and German and have advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry is considered an advantage.
