About the role. You will:

• Define and lead the overall IT and enterprise architecture strategy for complex systems and organisations.
• Design scalable, secure, and future-proof IT solutions aligned with business goals.
• Act as a strategic advisor for clients, including communication with senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and actionable insights.
• Lead cross-functional teams and provide architectural guidance across multiple projects.
• Ensure alignment between solution architecture and enterprise architecture standards.
• Drive innovation by leveraging modern infrastructure concepts such as microservices and containerisation.
• Establish and promote architectural best practices, governance, and standards.

About the skills and tools. You will use:

• Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
• IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)
• Modern architecture patterns (Microservices, Cloud, Containerisation)
• Architecture modeling tools and documentation standards
• Java or other programming languages (hands-on experience recommended)
• CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and integration technologies

About the requirements. You need:

• 7 to 10+ years of relevant IT experience, with a strong focus on architecture.
• Proven experience in both Solution Architecture and Enterprise Architecture.
• Hands-on coding experience (preferred, not mandatory).
• Strong expertise in frameworks such as TOGAF and ITIL.
• Deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure concepts, including microservices and containerisation.
• Strong business acumen, ideally with experience in the insurance industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders.
• Experience leading cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Readiness to travel regularly (depending on the project, we work partially from the client side).
• Ability to work in the European Union.
• Fluency in English and German (at least C1 level).
