Job Description

  • Lead and scale Scalable Capital’s Accounting function, covering German GAAP (HGB/RechKredV) and IFRS requirements
  • Design, standardize, and automate accounting processes across existing and new workstreams to improve efficiency, quality, and control
  • Own and drive cross-functional accounting projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners (, auditors, tax advisors), and continuously improve the accounting process landscape
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the monthly and annual close, including monthly tax reporting and support for related reporting requirements
  • Contribute to the design of booking logic and posting patterns within our in-house core banking system, ensuring accurate and scalable accounting treatment

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in financial accounting under German GAAP (HGB) and in handling tax-related matters
  • Proven hands-on experience in preparing (consolidated) annual financial statements and managing the external audit process
  • Solid knowledge of tax-relevant accounting topics, , VAT and related reporting requirements.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a structured, precise working style and strong problem-solving skills
  • Business-fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
