Cloud Architect- AWS (m/f/d)

\n

Your Responsibilities
\n 1.AWS Infrastructure Architecture & Design
\n Design and maintain enterprise AWS infrastructure architectures, including:
\n o Account and environment structures
\n o Networking (VPC, connectivity, segmentation)
\n o Compute, storage, and database foundations
\n Define and evolve AWS Landing Zones, reference architectures, and infrastructure patterns.
\n Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance across workloads.
\n Review and approve infrastructure designs for new and existing AWS workloads.
\n 2. Cloud Governance & Platform Standards
\n Define and enforce AWS infrastructure standards and guardrails, including:
\n o Account strategy and isolation
\n o Identity and Access Management
\n o Network security baselines
\n Contribute to global cloud governance frameworks and Cloud Policy implementation.
\n Ensure consistency across AWS environments while enabling team autonomy where appropriate.
\n 3. Security, Risk & Compliance (Infrastructure Focus)
\n Embed security by design into all AWS infrastructure architectures.
\n Ensure implementation of:
\n o Logging, monitoring, and audit controls
\n o Security tooling and baseline configurations
\n Support compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal IT security policies.
\n Act as an escalation point for infrastructure related security risks and incidents.
\n 4. Cost Optimization & Infrastructure Efficiency
\n Design AWS infrastructure with cost transparency and optimization in mind.
\n Support FinOps practices including tagging, cost allocation, and usage optimization.
\n Advise on infrastructure level cost mechanisms such as Savings Plans and architectural trade offs.
\n Partner with Cloud Financial Management to continuously improve infrastructure efficiency.
\n 5. Enablement, Advisory & Collaboration
\n Act as AWS infrastructure advisor for application, DevOps, and operations teams.
\n Support cloud adoption and modernization initiatives with infrastructure expertise.
\n Collaborate closely with:
\n o Application Architects
\n o Cloud Security
\n o Cloud Operations
\n o External partners and system integrators
\n Maintain high quality architecture documentation and decision records.

\n

Your Qualifications
\n Professional Experience
\n 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and/or cloud architecture.
\n Proven experience designing and operating enterprise scale AWS environments.
\n Experience working in regulated or security sensitive enterprise environments.
\n Experience in global or multi team IT organization is preferred
\n Fluency in English - spoken and written, additional languages is an advantage
\n Technical Skills (
\n Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure services, including:
\n o VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3
\n o Database management
\n o IAM, Organizations, CloudTrail, CloudWatch
\n Strong understanding of:
\n o Network architecture and connectivity
\n o Identity and access management
\n o High availability and disaster recovery patterns
\n Experience with Infrastructure as Code .
\n Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD concepts in cloud environments.
\n Key Competencies
