Position Overview

The Associate Director, Marketing - DACH is responsible for driving the development of strategies and tactics for the DACH Precision Oncology business, reporting to the Group Country Head of the DACH region. This role will support development and execution of the plan in partnership with the local cross-functional team including Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Business Leads, and the International marketing team, and support marketing data analytics to drive data driven decisions, and will participate in operational planning and lead the tactical plan across multiple channels.

The Associate Director, Marketing - DACH is a key member of the DACH Leadership Team and the International Country Marketing team.

This position is based in our office in Munich, Germany.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Coordinate the development of the operational and tactical annual plan for the brand, working closely with the cross-functional team of the DACH region and the marketing colleagues in International.
  • Supports the alignment on marketing strategy, the product positioning, the messaging, and plans among Country Manager, Medical Affairs, Market Access and the key stakeholders.
  • Support the evolution of brand campaigns with International Marketing and drive the localization.
  • Lead the development and localization of multi-channel marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Ensure the product positioning, messaging, and product campaign are effectively integrated into the all promotional assets.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to continually gain a deeper understanding of the market and customer needs.
  • Liaise directly and manage the relationships with various external groups; including service vendors, agency partners, and Societies / organizations.
  • Ensure coordinated efforts for training of field force partnering with the Commercial Excellence Manager and Country / Sales Manager / Business Leads.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team to deliver cross-functional projects.
  • Lead and influence without direct authority and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management and Sales. Above country experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experience working in oncology or oncology diagnostics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office programs).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications / presentations, results orientation, facilitation and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to be perceived as a leader without having direct authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
