Accountant (m/f/d)

We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for an Accountant (m/f/d) within our Finance team to help support our Automotive business. That’s right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As an Accountant (m/f/d) you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full spectrum of financial accounting, from daily bookkeeping to supporting statutory reporting. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring accurate financial data, supporting decision-making, and enabling smooth collaboration with tax advisors and external partners.

This is a part-time position (20 hours/week) with a start date of October 1, 2026.

Your tasks will include the following:

• Handling day-to-day financial accounting (accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as bank and cash journal entries)
• Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintaining master data and performing general accounting administrative tasks
• Preparing reports and supporting documents for the tax advisor
• Assisting with tax and commercial matters
• Optional assistance with payroll accounting
• General administrative tasks in the commercial department

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Completed commercial training (e.g., as an office management assistant, tax clerk, accountant, or similar)
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Proficiency in DATEV or other accounting systems
• Structured, independent, and reliable work ethic
• Ability to work in a team and a strong sense of responsibility
• Good written and spoken German
