Junior Backend Web Developer

The departmnet is responsible for client's mobile phone comparison service and is looking for a new team member.

Your tasks include

• Backend development: The design, development, and further development of backend functionalities using PHP and Symfony are your responsibility.
  
• Interfaces & Business Logic: The implementation of REST APIs and business logic is carried out in close coordination with the team.
  
• Feature development: Your tasks include contributing to features across multiple application layers – from the backend to the user interface.
  
• Frontend Implementation: You will be responsible for implementing frontend functionalities with React to utilize their backend services.
  
• Collaboration: Close coordination with product management, frontend development and other departments is an integral part of your work.
  
• Technical contribution: You actively participate in the further development of our web applications.
  

Requirements

• Qualifications: A completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification forms your professional basis.
  
• Backend know-how: You have sound knowledge of backend development (such as PHP, Java, TypeScript, Node.js or Python).
  
• Framework experience: You have already gained initial practical experience with a web framework (e.g., Symfony, Spring Boot, Express, Django/Flask or similar).
  
• Web architecture understanding: You are familiar with basic knowledge of web protocols such as REST and HTTP, as well as common standards for frontend/backend communication.
  
• Database knowledge: You will certainly use relational databases like MySQL in your daily development work.
  
• Web architecture understanding: You bring knowledge of REST APIs and modern web applications.
  
• Frontend basics: You have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript as well as initial experience with a modern frontend framework (e.g. React or Angular)
  
• Full-stack readiness: You are interested in implementing features in the frontend as well and developing yourself further in this area.
  
• Work style: You are characterized by a structured, independent work style and enjoy working together in a team.
  
• Language skills: Fluent German and English skills at least at C1 level complete your profile.
