Trade Finance and Lending

Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) is core and one of leading business departments in Corporate Bank working with clients around the globe. Trade Finance is a set of techniques aimed at mitigating and transferring trade risks to the financial sector, and / or using bank funding to enable domestic and international trade flows. Trade finance focuses on supporting the physical flow of goods across borders while primarily using the goods, receivables and cash generated from the trade as the principal security.

The group is working on technology refresh of their IT platform to enable new services and products for customers as well as to achieve next level of business processes automation and reduce transaction costs.

Would you like to join successful in-house technology team designing, building and rolling out into production its strategic platform for TF&L business? The architecture covers wide range of capabilities to support global TFL business including but not limited to loan lifecycle management, collateral management, related integrations with Cash, Treasury, Risk, and Finance landscape.

As a Lead Data Engineer (f/m/x) you will focus on delivery and maintenance of the cutting-edge data platform, implementing robust and reliable data processing solutions, leveraging modern tech stack, contributing to the platform health as well as developing new data products, taking part in all stages of agile delivery pipeline: specification, design, implementation, automated testing and level 3 production support

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality in the data landscape, including ETL pipelines, data access services, data marts and data quality controls

• Play a leader role in a big data engineering team, contributing to the team’s performance and helping others learn and improve

• Provide end-to-end technical ownership for the key platform functionality

• Engage in product development process, working closely with Product Management to form a product vision for the platform future

• Help stabilize infrastructure, unify and simplify existing solutions, driving a positive change in reliability, stability and evolvability of the platform

Your skills and experiences

• Strong programming fundamentals, Java and Kotlin knowledge is a plus

• Experience running non-trivial solutions in Kubernetes

• Up-to-date knowledge of modern data processing stacks, strong understanding of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark and modern MPP data processing engines (like Vertica, Clickhouse, Apache Druid or Apache Pinot)

• User-level knowledge of Linux

• Fluent English verbal and written
